Ear problems most commonly come in the form of bacterial or fungal infections. Garlic, mullein flower and colloidal silver are all effective for ear problems. Animals with long hair and turned down ear flaps tend to be more susceptible to ear problems. Should the ear be yeasty smelling with a whitish discharge, clean the ear gently with cotton wool and or cotton buds – then place 4 or 5 drops of colloidal silver in the ear and massage gently to disperse. Repeat this procedure twice daily until clear. Colloidal silver works as a broad spectrum antibiotic and is most effective.

Should the ear have a dirty brown discharge, this usually indicates the presence of ear mites and causes much irritation to your pet. Again clean the ear well first – then apply 4 or 5 drops of mullein ear oil or crush a clove of garlic and add it to a tablsp of olive oil – leave for at least one hour and then strain out the garlic. Again apply 4 to 5 drops of this mixture twice daily, cleaning the ear well before each application. Garlic is a powerful antibiotic herb and combined with olive oil will kill the mites and heal the ear.

(If in doubt re your pets ears – consult your health care practitioner).

Bach Flowers For Pets
Cerato is used for an unfocused and inattentive pet who is easily distracted and learns slowly. An excellent remedy for animals in training and competition and for helping with an animal’s tolerance, especially of annoying children or other distractions.

Cherry Plum is used for animals who lose mental, emotional or physical control (such as bowel or bladder control) during fearful or aggressive
situations. It may help animals who become very fearful when traveling or those who become very territorial. It may also be useful for uncontrolled seizures or continuous chewing or chasing of the tail.

Flea Control Naturally
Adding B-complex and garlic to your animal’s meals may eliminate the need for flea control chemically. This works from the inside out, creating an
environment that is unacceptable to the lifecycle of the flea. It will also create a healthier immune system for your pet and a calmer animal. Topical
application of the chemicals and flea collars are extremely toxic and debilitating for many animals. The use of essential oils and dry herbal flea powders can work very well instead of using chemicals. This area will be covered in an upcoming workshop.
