Celery Seed For Pain

This is a very old, inexpensive and simple remedy, suitable for many differing types of pain; celery is a rich source of potassium and magnesium, with the added benefits of keeping calcium in suspension in body fluids – minimizing deposition on and into soft tissue. Celery seed is also rich in sodium. When we can achieve optimum balance of sodium and potassium, rock like muscles can relax, ligaments can move fluids through more effectively and relaxation of both muscle and ligaments becomes more balanced. The result is simply – LESS PAIN!

The herb lowers the bloodstream’s concentration of uric acid and according to ”Dr Duke,” has completely controlled the gout he suffered for more than 20 years. Numerous studies attest to celery seed’s powerful anti-inflammatory qualities.

In Chinese medicine, the seeds are standard treatment for dizziness, high blood pressure, calming the body and regulating the menstrual cycle.

Celery seed contains compounds that lower cholesterol and blood pressure, dilates arteries, relieves tissue swelling and fluid retention, fights hardening of the arteries and normalizes heart rhythm. It alleviates gas and flatulence, heartburn and indigestion. New research with rats with high cholesterol showed marked improvement of triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein and total cholesterol when given celery seed.

It is an effective diuretic, calms nerves, reduces muscle spasms, inflammation and is excellent for various types of arthritis. It is also helpful for certain disease of the liver and spleen and in the treatment “naturally” of angina.

Methods of use:

Take a tincture of celery seed. Tincture needs to be taken twice daily in the amount of 3-5ml morning and night.

Grind the seed to a powder and create own capsules of pure celery seed. Take 2-3 capsules twice daily depending on pain level and body weight,

Pregnancy, lactation, kidney disease, or if taking diuretics or blood thinning medications.

A relaxing Cuppa…

Tonic Tea
This is a cleansing and strengthening brew. Makes 1 cup

½ teaspoon peppermint (dried)
¼ teaspoon fresh sliced ginger
1 teaspoon goji berries
½ teaspoon oregano (dried)

Boil gently ginger and goji for 5-6 mins, add dried herbs. Steep 5 mins, strain and enjoy.

For maximum benefits drink several times daily.

Sleepytime Tea
This is a gentle, relaxing brew

1 teaspoon passionflower (dried)
1 teaspoon oat straw (dried
½ teaspoon skullcap (dried)

Make in a pot – steep 5-6 mins.
Take 1 hour before bedtime on a regular basis till relaxed sleep is achieved.
