A few useful recipes

 

Lemon Verbena Liquer
1/2 cup tightly packed lemon verbena leaves
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
2 cups sugar
4 cups vodka or brandy

Place lemon rind and lemon verbena in a large jar with vodka or brandy and steep for 2 days, then add sugar and steep 3 more weeks, shaking daily. Then strain and filter and transfer to bottles. Age an additional 3 weeks.

Sinusitis Tea

1 part Echinacea
1 part Lime/Linden
1 part Marshmallow
1 part Golden Rod

Take 2 teaspoons to 1 cup water and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes keeping the lid on the pot. Take often while symptoms persist.

Natural Iron Tonic Tea
1 part Yellow Dock Root
1 part Stinging Nettle

Gently simmer 1 large teaspoon of yellow dock in 1 cup water for 15 minutes with lid on pot. Turn off heat and add the same amount of stinging nettle. Leave to steep for further 5 minutes. Strain and drink the whole amount over the day (hot or cold).

Note: both of these herbs are very high in naturally occurring iron, which is readily assimable. Safe and effective for adults and children. Take for 6 weeks daily.

Cleansing Gel
40gm pure Aloe Vera Gel
30ml organic Walnut Oil
30ml Bulgarian Rose Hydrosol
5 drops pure essential oil of Melissa or French Rose.

Mix all ingredients together well and bottle. Massage into face and neck and then remove with tissue or soft cloth.

Stretch Mark Cream
4 drops Carrot tissue oil
1 teaspoon Wheatgerm oil
1 teaspoon Rosehip Seed oil
1 teaspoon Calendula oil
125gm Cocoa Butter

Melt together gently the oils and cocoa butter in the top of a double boiler until melted and well combined. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly then add 5 drops pure essential oil of sandalwood and 3 drops of ylang-ylang (all available in store). Stir well and pour into pot, leave uncovered until set and cooled.

Use this cream daily into areas affected by stretch marks until scarring fades. This may take many months depending on severity. For mums-to-be, use on tummy, tops of legs and breasts to prevent stretch marks. The oils in this recipe are specific to scar tissue healing and prevention (do not change these).
