ROSE SCENTED SUGAR

This delicate sugar has a multitude of uses: It can be used to sweeten cakes and sauces, stirred into cream or yoghurt for subtle flavouring and substituted for castor sugar in rose-water biscuits. Ingredients: 5 cups highly scented dried rose petals 1 cup castor sugar 3 – 4 drops pure essential oil of French Rose Grind the rose petals in a food processor of liquidizer with a little sugar, until the consistency of coarse sand. Add 1 drop of essential oil to each batch ground. Bottle and store for that unique “difference” in food dishes.

Vanilla Butter Melts

Vanilla butter melts   This version is somewhat firmer than the Shea melts and a little silkier due to the Cocoa Butter.   Small chocolate moulds 40gm Cocoa butter 25gm Beeswax 40ml Vanilla bean infused sesame oil (or cold pressed oil of choice) 25ml Apricot cold pressed oil 5ml (120 drops) Vanilla oleoresin (or 6ml Vanilla fragrant oil) Method- Melt Cocoa butter, Beeswax and cold pressed oils in top of a double boiler until well combined. Allow to cool slightly before adding essential or fragrant oil. Pour into moulds and allow to harden at least 24 hours before unmoulding.

Burning Feet Formula 1 cup Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salts) ½ tsp Menthol Crystals 4 drops peppermint essential oil Combine essential oil with Epsom salts and Menthol Crystals by placing all in a glass jar and shaking together until well combined. Use the above amount in a warm foot bath and soak for 20 – 30 minutes. This mixture is very cooling and calming to hot burning feet. Use as and when required.

Restless Leg Formula 1 cup Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salts) 2 drops Chamomile essential oil 1 drop Sweet Lavender essential oil 1 drop Ginger essential oil Combine essential oils with Epsom salts by placing in a glass jar and shaking together until well combined. Use the above amount in a warm to hot foot bath every night for 7 – 10 days and then several times a week thereafter for optimum results. Winter Warmer Foot Bath

1 tsp Cayenne Pepper powder 2 tblsp Goats Milk powder 2 drops Ginger essential oil 1 drop Lemon essential oil Warm to hot water in large bowl. 100gm Peach Butter 20 drops Jojoba oil 20 drops Meadowfoam seed oil 5 drops Sea Buckthorn oil 4 drops Grapefruit seed oil 15 drops Peach flavour oil Combine all ingredients by mixing thoroughly – use a hand blender if needed. Package into sterilised pots. Enjoy.

Lucious Orange Lip Gloss

2 tsp Beeswax 1 tsp Ale Vera Gel 1 tblsp Jojoba oil 1 tblsp Rosehip seed oil 1 tblsp Aloe Vera oil 1 tsp Vegetable Glycerine 8 drops Sweet Orange essential oil Melt Beeswax, Jojoba, Rosehip and Aloe Vera oil gently in a double boiler until beeswax is melted and the oils combined. Remove from the heat, add the vegetable glycerine first and stir well. Then add the Aloe Vera Gel and sweet orange essential oil and stir until all well combined. Pour into sterilised pot or roll on tubes. For an extra shimmer, add pearl mica to the blend.
